Written while in desperate need of a nap.
Hello and Happy Monday. Welcome to the Touch of Tay blog, thank you so much for stopping by and spending some time with me. Here on Touch of Tay, on Monday’s we talk about makeup, uniquely names Makeup Monday.
Over the weekend I went to Ulta and was finally able to use my point, I believe I had over a thousand which translated into $50. So basically it’s pointless.
AG HAIR CARE
I came across the AG Hair Care Firewall Argan Shine & Flat Iron Spray while looking for a new heat protectant spray since the Chi 44 Iron Guard Thermal Protectant Spray that I have been using for years and years just wasn’t working for me anymore. It is a liquid spray instead of an aerosol spray, and it just made my hair way too wet and heavy especially now since I cut my hair short.
I came across the AG Hair Care line, which I have never seen or heard of before, and really liked the packaging and price. I have said it before, and I will say it again, I am a sucker for good packaging, it is what draws me into trying any product.
I also liked that the Firewall product is salt-free, has no PABA, parabens, gluten, DEA, and is not tested on animals. I got the small 3oz bottle mainly because I will be traveling the new couple months but also so I could give it a try before committing to the full size.
I gave this product a try this morning and love how weightless it is and how easy it is just to spray it on and get to doing my hair. I didn’t notice any senses or buildup on my hair which is, of course, a positive.
You can get this guy at Ulta for $24/8oz (on sale for now for $18). I don’t see the mini bottle on the website, so I am assuming it is only available in stores for ***.
My mom spotted these Garnier SkinActive Micellar Makeup Removing Towelettes for $6.99 at Ulta, and I am super excited to try them. I am a fan of the liquid Garnier Micellar water, so I am curious to see if these are going to be just as great.
I use makeup removing wipes when I get to the gym to take off my makeup before working out. The current ones I am using (Ponds Wet Cleansing Towelettes) are a little drying, so hopefully, these will work better for me. I’ll keep you posted.
If you didn’t know, I cut about seven inches of my hair off a few weeks ago and since then I have been obsessing over Milabu’s YouTube channel. She does hair tutories for women with short hair, from styling to products, to braiding, to curling, and straightening, she does it all.
She has mentioned a few times the hair accessories at Ulta, and I finally remembered to look for them. I got the Karina Gold Hoop Barrette ($6) and small hoop ones that I can’t find on Ulta’s website, which Milabu talks about all the time.
I haven’t used them yet, but I know I will be taking them with me on my travels.
I don’t think I have mentioned this on my blog before but I love to read. I am usually reading two books at once, one novel and one autobiography. I love reading about other people’s lives and how they view the world and getting tips and trick on how to make my life better.
Recently I came across a YouTuber named Estee Lalonde. I watched her video on how she moved from Canada to U.K at age 19 and was HOOKED. She mentioned her book Bloom: Navigating Life and Style in the video, and I immediately went to Amazon and bought it.
I am only a few pages in, and I don’t want it to end. It’s like having a conversation with the best friend you have always wished to have.
Thank you again for stopping by, I hope you have a wonderful Monday, and I will see you back here later this week!
