Written while enjoying the spring like weather in Michigan.
Hello, Happy Monday, and Welcome to Touch of Tay. It is Monday, and of course, that means it’s time for yet another Makeup Monday. I am super excited for this post today because I am sharing my first experience with Glossier products!
Let’s get going.
I have always been interested in Glossier products but never went through with purchasing anything until last week when their website pulled me in.
PERFECT SKIN TINT
I have been looking for a new light-weight foundation I can quickly pop on in the mornings when I am running late or on the weekends when I don’t want anything heavy. The Perfect Skin Tint intrigued me with how simple this product is meant to be. The Perfect Skin Tint comes in five shades which I like since too many options can be overwhelming and with a light-weight product like this, you don’t have to be so exact. I got the shade medium.
Description from the website
“In the land between bare skin and makeup exists the imperceptible wash of color that is our Perfecting Skin Tint. What does it do? Evens out discoloration and leaves your face looking toned, smooth, and dewy. The breathable, ultra thin formula auto-fits to skin, making application as simple as throwing on moisturizer. What won’t it do? Hide your freckles, spackle your pores, or erase any other evidence that you are, in fact, a real human being.
Comes in five super sheer, adaptable shades.”
I wore the tint over the top of my regular Smashbox Photo Finish primer and lightly powdered my face and became an oil slick by 4 pm. I have combination skin and tend to get oily in the evening when leaving work, but this was more oil than usual.
I am wearing the tint right meow and used the sample of the Priming Moisturizer and powered the full amount this morning and so far so good (it is 12:30 pm).
Overall, I would say this is a product you grab when you aren’t going to be wearing makeup for very long. Maybe an afternoon out shopping or working out but it is not long lasting especially if you get oily.
I have been looking for a new face oil for awhile now, I have mentioned that a few times here on my blog which is why I got super excited when I saw the oils from Glossier – Super Glow, Super Pure, and Super Bounce. I chose to go with the Super Glow because I thought it best fit for what I am looking for.
Description from website
“For that “lit from within” look. Vitamin C brightens and Magnesium energizes for days when you didn’t get enough sleep or skin looks sallow. Like when you’re browsing Instagram after dinner and suddenly it’s 4am. Over time, Super Glow evens skin tone, and creates a light-reflective complexion. The water-like texture immediately absorbs into skin without a trace—use all over face, after cleanser, before moisturizer. Super Glow is an integral part of The Supers squad: three concentrated serums to refill your skin’s deficiencies, strengthening it day after day.”
The oil is runnier and lose than I thought it was going to be; it resembles water. This is also a dry oil which means it absorbs into the skin 100% with no oily feeling left on the face. The dry oil, I feel, is best for when you want to wear this under makeup but for my night time routine, I would have liked something a little more.
As far as results, I haven’t seen any. I don’t feel like it makes my skin look bright or “lit from within.” This is a little disappointing but I am going to continue to use it mainly because I just bought it but also to see if the results change.
I am falling in love with this brand and I think it is because their website, packaging, and social media accounts are on point. They know how to market their demographic and they are doing it right.
I am a graphic designer by day and can appreciate all the work and attention to detail they put into their brand; it is truly outstanding.
Thank you so much for stopping by on this beautiful Monday, and I hope you have a great night. Leave your comments below; I would love to hear from you on your Glossier thoughts!
