3 Products By NYX I Finally Tried

Written while feeling refreshed af.

Hello, beautiful ladies! OMG, I am so excited to be back you have no idea how much I have missed you! I hope you all had a fantastic break/holiday and are ready to conquer 2017 like the She-Wolf you are.

Today we are talking about three NYX products that I have wanted to try out for some time now. For some unknown reason no matter where I go, whether it be Ulta or Target, the NYX display is always an out of control mess. More of a mess than any other brand and it’s really off-putting and overwhelming which it why I decided to order two of the three items online.

Let’s just get started, shall we?

For some reason no matter how many times I walked passed the NYX Liquid Suede lipsticks at Ulta I never picked one up. I have no idea why they were so intimidating to me, but I finally found my courage last week when I finally decided to give them a try. I got the color Kitten Heels for $7.

I wore this little guy on Christmas out with my family for a few hours before going to dinner. I was blown away at how comfortable, matte, and long lasting this lipstick is, the only time I had an issue was after eating when it started to fade considerably, and I need up taking it off.

I am digging these, and now I know why everyone else is too. What color should I get next?

I wouldn’t consider myself a beginner at putting on winged eyeliner which is why I decided to up my game from my usual felt tip eyeliner pen to the NYX Vinyl Liquid Liner in Black for $7 and boy was I in for a surprise; holy moly is this eyeliner difficult to put on! It took me so long to finally get a wing that looked halfway decent before finishing it off with my tried and true Kat Von D Tattoo Liner.

I think the problem is the bristles are so light you can’t feel them on your eye, and they are incredibly difficult to control. I now have a new respect for girls on Instagram and YouTube that can get a perfect wing with this eyeliner. I’m not giving up, though, I have been keeping at it to try and get better so wish my luck.

I heard about the NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray on NikkieTutorials YouTube channel where Nikkie raved about how wonderful of a finish this spray gives. While being brave, I got this product at Ulta for on my lunch break for $7.99.

I have been using it in replace of my Urban Decay All Nighter spray and I am enjoying it, but it doesn’t at all give me a dewy finish. I got the dewy finish spray over the matte because I have dry skin and in the winter my skin is even drier. Also, the spray isn’t as fine as the Urban Decay one probably due to cheaper packaging. Overall I think this is a great product for the price but skip it if you are truly looking for that dewy finish.

Alright, chickas, thank you so much for reading, and I will see you back here on Friday for Fresh Finds Friday!
