Hello and welcome back to Touch of Tay. If you are new here, you should know that I have no idea what I am doing, and I post 2-3 times a week. Click the follow button to become a part of the fam.

Today is Monday which means it Makeup Monday time. Call your mama, call you sister, text your brother because it’s time.

Let’s get started.

Murad Rapid Age Spot Lightening Serum

On November 7th I posted a Makeup Monday that included the Murad Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum. I told you that I would be trying this little guy out to see if the results are worth the extremely high price tag and if you should invest or not.

For those of you who don’t know, I have acne prone and sensitive skin. Murad has been talked about on YouTube especially by LoveMelisaMichelle as a high-end product that gets ride of acne scars and age spots.

I started using the serum every night as a part of my night time skincare routine until all the product was gone.

Things to note:

  • I bought the sample size serum .33oz for $9 – You can find the mini bottle in the checkout line at Sephora and Ulta
  • Full size is $96 for 2oz
  • The intended purpose of use is to remove old acne scars
  • I only applied serum to cheeks and chin, not all over the face

Here are my thoughts:

Pros:

  • Little skin irritation
  • Absorbs fast
  • Leaves no stickiness behind
  • No smell
  • A little bit goes a long way
  • Helps dry out new acne

Cons:

  • PRICE
  • Results take time – must use every single night
  • Bleaches the skin – if you have a tan it this product will fade it

Here are three pictures of the progress. The first picture was taken before treatment on November 8, the second was taken on November 30th, and the third was taken today December 19.

Sidenote: If .33oz lasted me over 41 days, 2oz would probably last me almost a year (246 days) which is about 39 cents a day.

Overall, I am happy with the results I think this product did what it said it was going to do. Looking at the pictures I can see what a difference this product has made in my skin and I am very pleased. I plan on buying another mini bottle to last me through the winter mainly because I just can’t spend $96 on the full-size bottle.

What are your thoughts? Do you see a big difference?

I hope you all have a fantastic day wherever you are, and I will see you back in later this week!
