Milk Makeup Sunshine Oil

Makeup Tuesday Because It’s Not Monday

Written while wondering what is happening on Lost. Yes, I am 12 years too late.

Omg, I am so sorry ya’ll. I wasn’t able to get a Fresh Finds Friday post out on Friday and Monday was super busy for me as well which resulted in not getting a Makeup Monday out for you either. With the Holidays right around the corner and year end coming up at work my time is being sucked into a time vacuum. I am also buying lots of gifts for friends and family, and spending less money on myself, isn’t that what the Holidays are all about? Anyway, I am here now so let’s get a move on.

I was able to stop in Sephora and Lush while at the mall over the weekend and got two little gifts with my Sephora VIP Beauty points and a new Fresh Face Mask from Lush. So let’s talk about it.

Bite Beauty Lipstick

I have talked about the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouch Lipsticks on this blog before and have been looking forward to trying them for a long time. I used 100 VIP Beauty Insider points to get this cute little guy in the color Liquorice – Oxblood. This color is on the darker side, but I think it is entirely appropriate for the Holidays and the winter months.

I put the lipstick on before I left for work at 8AM and by 10AM it was totally patchy and dry, and I had to take it off. The formula is very dry, but it moved around a lot on the lips. I found myself checking my lips in the mirror a few times to make sure I wasn’t looking like a clown.

Overall, I am a little disappointed because I have been looking forward to trying these for a long time, but this product is a lipstick, not a liquid lip, so some moving around and patchiness is to be expected.

The full-size product is available at Sephora for $26/each.

Milk Makeup Sunshine Oil

Milk Makeup is the most trendy makeup line out there right now. This company is talking directly to millennials and that generation after millennials that no one knows what to call them. In my opinion, their products are overrated, but that being said the Sunshine Oil is the first product I have ever tried.

I also got the Milk Makeup Sunshine Oil for 100 VIP Sephora Beauty Insider points. The sales woman at Sephora told me this oil is to be used for makeup removal but after going on the Milk Makeup website, I found this no to be true.

Here is the product description from the Milk Makeup website.

“Perfect “everything” oil in an easy, portable rollerball pen. Proprietary blend of moisturizing natural oils (grapeseed, avocado, grapefruit peel, tangerine peel, mandarin orange peel, and lemon peel) combine to create essential skin hydration and brightness. Press bottom button to dispense oil onto glass rollerball. Apply all over face and body. 100% of Proceeds go directly to Dayna. Please note that despite it’s cheery name this product is not a tanning oil and contains no SPF. All Milk Makeup products are cruelty-free.”

I used this product after my night face routine around the eyes and cheekbones and saw absolutely no brightness happening. I plan to use this a few more times to see if I can get any results out of it.

The full-size product is $38 for .5oz which is of course very expensive and available at Sephora.

Lush Don't Look At Me Fresh Face Mask

While in Lush I just had to get a Fresh Face Mask since I just think they are magnificent. I’ve never seen true results from using these masks, but I just like using them and feeling girly.

I got the Don’t Look At Me mask, and this is the description from the Lush website.

“Caught you looking! Well hello, don’t be shy! Smooth on this vivid blue mask and you’ll want to show anyone and everyone your vibrant complexion. Ground rice gently scrubs away dry skin, murumuru butter moisturizes and zingy lemon juice tones. And if that wasn’t enough, we’ve added organic silken tofu to soften you up in all the right ways. The stunning results will have you coming back for more of this scrubby, softening skincare goodness.”

Lush Don't Look At Me Fresh Face Mask

I put this mask on after my evening shower and relaxed for a little bit before taking it off. I usually leave these masks on until they dry but the sales associate at Lust told me not to do that since it came dry out the face. Follow the directions on the container.

This mask smells just like Fruit Loops; it’s crazy delicious!

I hope you can forgive me for being MlA but know I haven’t forgotten about you! I will see you back here on Friday for Fresh Finds Friday, I promise!
