Written while packing on the concealer to cover up these undereye bags. P.S – Just started watching Lost and I am hooked!
Hello and Welcome back to Touch of Tay, it’s Monday (again) which means it’s time for another Makeup Monday to rid you of those post weekend, Monday blues! This week is going to be a very busy week for me, so this may be the only post you see from me, sorry but I have a life too.
Let’s get started.
I am subscribed to the Pop Sugar subscription box which comes every month with awesome little gift and goodies. In this months box, I got the cute little Stowaway Dawn to Duck Eye Pallete which retails for $25. In this pallete, you get eight different shadows both matte and shimmer.
From the website:
A twist on natural colors, these shades will take you from a bright bronzed dawn to a rich navy dusk. Housed in a palette the size of a credit card complete with double sided brush, it easily tucks away anywhere.
I gave this palette a try last night before going to see Elf: The Musical (don’t judge me), and I love it! The shimmer shadows are absolutely beautiful and go on very smooth. What I love about this pallete is the size, think of all the places you can put this little guy. In a world where the palettes just keep getting bigger and bigger, the Dawn to Dusk will fit any place.
I also got the Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask in a Pop Sugar box a few months ago. After completely finishing the Moroccan Oil hair mask (click here for my thoughts) I decided I was going to give the Briogeo one a try. First initial thoughts, I absolutely hate the smell, it smells like very strong hairspray, and it doesn’t go away after styling. I get whiffs of hairspray all day after using this mask, and I hate it.
Other than the smell I think this mask is doing a good job of conditioning my hair, but it does feel a bit heavy. I have noticed my hair gets dirtier faster in the days following this mask. You can get this guy at Sephora for $9 for 1 oz or $36 for 8 oz.
While cat-sitting my sisters’ cat, I tried on her Victoria’s Secret Sexy Little Things Noir body spray and fell in LOVE with the scent! I went on Victoria’s Secret website to find out if the scent was offered in a perfume and bought it right away when I found out it did. I bought it online for $68 for 3.4 oz than paid shipping and taxes. It was a little more than I wanted to spend but totally worth it because I cannot get enough!
From the website:
Enchanting in every sense, with the playful-meets-provocative scent of sparkling nectarine, sultry amber, and exotic orchid.
This perfume is heavy which makes it perfect for the winter months and comes with an atomizer that makes you feel so sexy when applying. I was a little disappointed in the boxing of this product. When spending that much money I would have liked some really cute packaging and tissue paper but all it came in was a lame brown shipping box.
That is all I have for you today; I hope all this talk about makeup has helped cure some of your Monday blues. Have a Happy Thanksgiving if I don’t “see” you before then!
