Makeup Monday – All About Lush

Written while looking forward to passing out Halloween candy.

Welcome back to Touch of Tay and Happy Halloween Monday! Today might be Halloween, and it might be a Monday, but it is still Makeup Monday, so let’s get started.

The Monday blues are never fun so let’s spend some time reading about Makeup and forgetting we have a very long time until the weekend.

Sidenote: I went to Target yesterday and the line for checkout was about 30 people deep. You would have thought it was the week before Christmas or something. I left without buying anything…gasp.

Lush Sleepy

While at the mall yesterday I had to stop by Lush to pick up a new lotion. If you are a regular following here on Touch of Tay you know I do a lot of yoga which means I suffer from yoga feet. Since yoga can reek havoc on my feet (and I wear heels almost every day), I try to pamper them as much as I can.

After my evening shower, I give myself a little foot massage with a nourishing and moisturizing lotion and then put some fuzzy socks on. I had run out of the Body Shop lotion I was using so I headed to Lush, and after trying almost every lotion, I ended up with the Sleepy Limited Holiday Edition Hand and Body lotion. I used it last night and absolutely love the scent, it is so relaxing and soothing exactly when I need after a very long day.

I got the 7.4 oz pot for $23.95 since they were sold out of the 3.1 oz pot for $9.95. It is a lot of product to buy without knowing if I would like it but I figured I could give it to my mom or sister if I didn’t end up liking it.

Lush Cosmetic Warrior

Also while at Lush I picked up another Fresh Face Mask since I enjoyed the last one I bought. I also think they are an excellent deal for the quality of the product, the customer service, and how long the product lasts.

I was looking for a mask that would help with the breakouts I’ve been having and the massive amount of dryness that I have also been experiencing. I have talked in the past on my blog about the extreme dryness around my eyes, and it has been exceptionally bad lately.

Lush Cosmetic Warrior

The Cosmetic Warrior mask ($8.95 for 2.1 oz) is garlic bases which I didn’t think I was going to like at all but to me; it doesn’t smell like garlic at all. The woman helping me at the store said a lot of people can’t use this mask because of the smell, but again I don’t think it smells at all like garlic.

From the website:

Cleanse and soothe, gently
The frustration of having troubled skin can drive you to use harsh cleansers to clear it up, but since problem skin is often sensitive, aggressive cleansers can make it worse. Don’t attack your skin; instead, gently lead it down the path to salvation with Cosmetic Warrior. This fresh face mask is kind to problem-laden faces thanks to moisturizing egg whites and honey, which smooth and tighten the pores, and cleansing garlic and tea tree oil for a fresh, clear, happy face.

I plan to do a full review of this mask so stay tuned for that!

That is all I have for you today; I hope you have a wonderful Halloween and I’ll see you back here last this week!

That Cosmetic Warrior mask sounds perfect, I get acne but when I try to treat it my skin gets really dry. I don’t know about putting garlic on my face though lol
