Last week I reviewed the Aveeno Positively Radiant CC Cream and told you guys how much I was really enjoying this for my light everyday office look. While using this product, I realized that my face had an allergic reaction to something I as using in my life.
The skin underneath my eyes became extremely dry and itchy. At first, it was just the left eye but after some time my right eye became irritated a well. My left cheek started to break out in little tiny itchy bumps which spread to the outside corner of my left eye.
I was very uncomparable and itchy, so I tried keeping it as moisturized as possible while still having to wear makeup to work. I covered my under eyes in Vaseline while at home and before bed.
Sidenote: I didn’t take any pictures, so you are going to have to trust me that it was bad!
I started eliminating just about everything I put on or around my face. Including, the new Clinique makeup removing wipes I got, the towel at the gym, my under eye cream, my PUR under eye primer, which hazel, pillow cases, bed sheets, setting spray, etc. and nothing stopped the irritation. I could not for the life of me figure out what was bothering my skin.
I did not remove the Aveeno Positively Radiant CC Cream from my daily makeup routine since I had been using it for two weeks (while traveling) without any issues. After removing just about everything from my routine I purchased a new beauty blender and put on a different foundation and just like that the rash disappeared.
I’m not sure what is in the CC cream that made my face break out, but I want you all to be aware that even if a brand of products works for you like Aveeno works for me, one product can disagree with your skin.
This is disappointing because I do like this product but I guess my skin just doesn’t. My skin is completely back to normal now and I am donating this product to my sis since it seems to work for her (she doesn’t have as sensitive skin as I do).
I know this post isn’t the most exciting but I want to spread the word about my reaction to this product and maybe someone else had the same issue, gotta watch out for my followers that also have very sensitive skin.
