Hello and welcome back to Touch of Tay. If you are reading this, that means you have made it to Wednesday which means it’s almost Friday, just hang in there. A few weeks ago I told you in my Walmart Finds post that I picked up the Aveeno Positively Radiant CC Cream and today we are going to talk about it.
Here are my thoughts.
I love love love this CC cream now, but it didn’t start out that way. I first bought this CC cream because I was going out of town and wanted something simple I could pop on the face with little to no fuss.
When I first applied the CC cream to my face, I applied it with my hands, although it worked it was very streaky, and I wasn’t able to get the best coverage. I also felt like the cream was a little too dewy for my taste, and it needed to be set with powder.
There are two things I hate doing with a BB or CC creams, and those are 1) setting it with powder and 2) using a beauty blender/beauty sponge. I feel like doing those two things takes away from the purpose of wearing a BB/CC cream but I did it anyway, and I loved the results.
SOME THINGS TO NOTE
- This product does not smell good, like at all. It smells like a sunscreen mixed with baby powder and foundation, and I am not a fan.
- The product gets stuck in the pump and dries out which means you get a little piece of died CC cream that you have to pick out every time.
- This cream oxidizes like no other! When I first apply the cream to my face, it is way too light and over time it starts to darken. It works for me but be aware if the darker shade won’t match your coloring.
- You can twist the pump to lock for traveling.
Overall I really do like this product. I am a fan of the brand Aveeno, to begin with since I do have very sensitive skin. I think this product is perfect for the summer, for traveling, for light office makeup, for hanging out on the weekends, and can even be built up to wear out to an event.
Thank you so much for stopping by and spending some time reading this post. Let me know if you have given the Aveeno Positively Radiant CC Cream a try and if you liked it or not.
