Written while trying to keep my eyes open.
Happy Monday and welcome back to Touch of Tay! Today is Monday which means it’s time for another Makeup Monday to rid your day of the Monday blues! I mentioned the Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask in one of my Fresh Finds Friday posts, and I was finally able to try it out.
Here is my review.
I first heard about the Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask on YouTuber Tait’s channel. I didn’t watch her video on it because I wanted to experience it first hand without any previous knowledge about the mask.
I ordered the Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask on Amazon for $10.35 (super random number) and since I have a Prime account I got it about two days later (although I was out of town).
The entire packaging, besides the name, is in Chinese (I’m guessing) so there aren’t any directions, that I could read, for the application. I just treated this mask as I would any other and cleansed my face before applying. I applied the mask to my problematic areas (chin/cheeks/forehead) with the little application tool that comes inside.
The mask started bubbling almost immediately which was concerning since I wasn’t sure how long to keep the mask on. The mask started to completely bubbly over after about five minutes; I left it on for a little bit longer before gently removing it with a warm washcloth.
I used my trusty Witch Hazel to tone my face after taking the mask off like I do after any mask and finished with my Clinique face moisturiser.
To be completely honest, I don’t think this mask did anything for my skin. My face didn’t feel firm or refreshed afterwards but then again I think this is just a gimmicky product that is supposed to be fun.
I hope you liked this week’s Makeup Monday and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your Monday. See you later in the week for mid-week check in.
