Makeup Monday – Sephora Face Masks

The Touch Of Tay Blog

Written while wondering why it’s Monday…AGAIN!

Welcome back everyone! Today is, of course, Makeup Monday and since I am addicted to sheet masks at the moment, we are going to be talking about Sephora brand masks. Before we get started, I want to apologize for publishing a subpar Fresh Finds Friday last week. I was literally camping in the middle of the woods and had very little reception. I went back and edited and added content so make sure you check that out.

Anyway, I went to Sephora two weeks ago and picked up two sheet masks, one lip mask, and two under-eye masks.

REVIEW:

Sephora Pearl Mask

I have to say I am not at all impressed with the eye masks. I put them on in combination with my mud mask and found that they kept sliding down my face. When I put a mask on I don’t lay down and relax like I should, I am running around the house doing laundry or cleaning something. So I found it super annoying that they didn’t stay put. In comparison to the Tony Moly My Little Pet Eye Patch, these don’t even stand a chance.

Sephora Face Mask

My feelings on the face mask are mehh. I didn’t feel like these masks did anything that any other face mask doesn’t. The green tea mask felt cooling on my face but once I took it off I didn’t feel like my skin looked extra awake and my blemishes didn’t diminish which was a little disappointing.

Sephora Lip Mask

I have never done a lip mask before, and I don’t think I will every again. The lips mask was wayyyyy too big for my lips, so it ended up covering my chin and cheeks a little. When I took the mask off my lips and skin were sticky, and I could taste the mask. I ended up rinsing the area with cool water and applying my chapstick.

Overall I am glad that I gave these masks a try since I have wanted to for awhile I am just a little disappointed that they didn’t hold up to the hype. I probably won’t repurchase these masks and instead, repurchase the masks that I got from Ulta.

If you know of any other face masks, I should try out, let me know in the comments! I am always looking for a good sheet mask! Have a wonderful night and I’ll see y’all soon! If you missed last week’s Makeup Monday, click here!

P.S. Do any of you watch Bloodline on Netflix? The second season is out and I have been spending way too much time watching it.
