Written while too tired to make a cup of coffee.
Hello and welcome back my Touch of Tay, as you know, today is Monday which means it’s time for another Makeup Monday to shake off your Monday blues! I haven’t been spending as much of my time inside Ulta and Sephora lately since the weather has been so beautiful, but I did spend some time at Target…of course.
Today we are going to be talking about three drugstore products, two I picked up over the weekend and the other I got a few weeks ago and am in serious, committed relationship with.
Let us begin.
I don’t usually buy a lot of eyeshadow since it’s not really my thing, I honestly can’t even remember the last time I bought myself eyeshadow. I got the mini Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette for Christmas and have been wearing it ever since.
But over the weekend while at Target the Covergirl Trunaked Roses Palette caught my eye and I just had to buy it. There is only one true matte color, but I’m not hating it. After watching a million Tati Youtube videos, I have been loving the glitter/shimmer look on the lids. You get eight different shades all in the purple/gold family that apply really nicely to the lid and when used with an eye primer can last all day.
This little guy can be yours for $9.99.
SONIA KASHUK BRONZER
A few weeks ago I fell in love with the Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base after watching about a million YouTube Videos on it, even mentioned it in a Fresh Finds Friday post. I had never tried a cream bronzer and didn’t want to jump in with two feet spending $50 on one product, so I started looking up dupes and came across the Sonia Kashuk Undetectable Creme Bronzer in Warm Tan 41. I quickly fell in love. I brought this little guy with me to Florida and have been wearing it to work almost every day. I apply it with my Real Techniques Contour Brush, and it works like a dream, a little bit goes a very long way!
I brought this little guy with me to Florida and have been wearing it to work almost every day. I apply it with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, and it works like a dream, a little bit goes a very long way! Sonia Kashuk is exclusively sold at Target and can be yours for $10.99.
I have a problem with buying lip products. I buy so many lipsticks and never wear them. I guess I don’t have the kind of lifestyle where it is appropriate to wear a bold lip. I spend most of my time in the office and the rest in bed watching Netflix, you’re jealous. Anyway, I brought the shade 124 Bordeaux to add to my collection. I absolutely love this deep plum color for the cooler months and it’s nice to get back to the basics with a traditional lipstick. You can put this on your lips for $4.99!
Alrighty folks, that is all I have for this week’s Makeup Monday. I hope you enjoyed it and remember Monday is almost over.
