Welcome back to another Makeup Monday! I know Monday’s can be rough but reading about makeup can make them a little less painful.
Although the weather in Michigan hasn’t gotten very warm yet (it snowed over the weekend) it is still time to switch over to our summer makeup routines. This means we put away our heavy foundations and powders and allow our inner glow to shine. Too much?
This post is all about the BB Cream! Around this time every year I go on the hunt for a BB Cream that I will wear for the summer. I went back to my L’Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier B.B. Cream in Medium and found that it just wasn’t hitting the spot anymore. It could have expired, but I found it to be hard to apply, drying, and way too dark for me. I also went back to my bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel and I hated every second. I actually washed it off and started over with my regular foundation. So I did what I usually do when looking for a new beauty product, YouTubed it.
I found lots of great YouTube videos on all the BB Creams that are on the market right now, but I didn’t find them really that helpful. BB Creams are kind of a trial and error kind of a product. It is super hard to find a color that matches since most are packaged so you can’t see the product and you never really know what the coverage is going to be like.
That being said I went to Target and just started looking around, and that is when I found the Sonia Kashuk Radiant Tinted Moisturizer. It was like a ray of light from the heavens. The packaging allows you to see the product inside which was helpful, but some of the tubes were already opened (although completely unsanitary) which was even more helpful in picking a color.
Sidenote: Why can’t Target put out samples of products? That would make everyone’s lives so much easier, and it would eliminate people opening the product, that Target can’t sell after.
I went with the color Beige which apparently, is their award winning color, I thought it was going to be too dark but it has worked out perfectly. I would say this product has a medium coverage that is definitely buildable. It is very creamy and easy to put on. This product is $10.95 which is on the higher end for a drugstore product but I honestly think it is worth it!
Give it a try and let me know what you think or mention any other great BB Creams you have in your life!
