Happy Monday! In case you are suffering from the Monday blues, I have the cure so just keep reading. In this series, I am going to highlight some makeup that I am really digging at the time or have heard great reviews on. I wish I could afford to purchase all the makeup and beauty products I see, but I can’t. So let’s get started.
GIRL! You have not lived your life until you have used this product. I am not joking; this is serious! I have always wanted to try Clinique products but never really knew where I could find it besides Macy’s and that just sounded super intimidating. I also thought that Clinique was out of my budget until one day when I was strolling through Sephora for the first time and saw this little ray of sunshine. The product is only $24! I can’t. I wear the shade Linen, which means nothing to you. Go online and find some YouTube videos on who to apply it and this will be the last foundation you ever buy.
Tay’s Tip: Although, Ulta advertises that they carry Clinique not all their locations do. So do yourself a favor and call ahead of time before you drive all the way there in a snow storm.
Urban Decay 24/7 Waterline Eye Pencil
I picked up one of these in the shade Walk Of Shame, and it is such a great nude waterline eye pencil. I really like this one because it doesn’t get stuck to my bottom eyelashes. I don’t know if other people have that issue, but I do, and I know Urban Decay understands me. This product is $20 which makes me cringe. If you don’t know, nude eyeliner is used to help make your eyes appear more awake and open. It is perfect for when you wear a smokey eye and got a little too smokey, pop this on the waterline and you are good to G-O.
Kat Von D Ink Liner
I got my very first Kat Von D product the other day from Sephora, the same day I got the Urban Decay pencil so don’t judge me. I got the color Trooper which is a very popular shade, and I have heard many people talk about the product so I thought I would give it a try. I am not 100% sure how I feel about it. When I first applied it the liner bleed all over my eye, and I didn’t feel like gave me a very black line. I tried it again the next day and didn’t have too much issue. It is very easy to put on; I’ll give it that. Keep you posted. This liner is $19.
Although not a makeup product this is FANTASTIC at taking off my eye makeup. I soak two cotton rounds with the water and place them on my eyes for about 10 seconds without rubbing just lightly patting the water onto my eyes. Once I have gotten off the tough stuff, I gently take the cotton round and VERY GENTLY rub the remaining makeup off. I am super paranoid about rubbing my eyes since eye rubbing leads to eye wrinkles. It’s a vicious cycle. All yours for $6.99.
Tay’s Tip: Garnier also makes a Micellar water for waterproof makeup that is called SkinActive Micellar Bi – Phase Cleansing Water.
Welp, that’s all I’ve got for you today! I hoped you enjoyed the first post on Makeup Monday! Until next time.
